When someone swipes right on a Tinder profile, Tinder does NOT send the profile owner any kind of notification.
Typically nothing happens, except: your profile might eventually show up in that person’s queue. And if they swipe right back, the two of you will become a match.
However, if that person is using Tinder Gold, they can see a list of people who swiped right on them. That means they’ll know who has swiped right before they decide to swipe left or right back.
Word to the wise: do not swipe right on someone if you don’t really want to date them. For instance, be careful about swiping right on a long-time platonic friend. If you end up matching, they’ll assume you’re really interested in them!
